Merry Jennifer is a gynecologic medical oncologist who finds joy and meaning in caring for patients, mentoring, and advocating for women in medicine. Her academic work focuses on gynecologic cancers, cancer communication, and quality improvement in cancer care.
In 2021, she followed a dream and launched MMarkham Travel, a boutique travel agency rooted in her belief that time away from the demands of medicine isn’t a luxury—it’s essential. Through thoughtfully designed journeys, she helps busy professionals reconnect with joy, curiosity, and the world around them.
She’s married to her high school sweetheart, mom to two awesome kids, and happily outnumbered by pets: three cats and a goldendoodle named Milo. While she loves traveling with her family, she’s always game for a solo escape—especially if it involves France, a good glass of wine, and a seat in first class.

Resort credits can be applied to fee-based activities, private sessions, and spa treatments. They cannot be applied to retail purchases or alcohol. who is this retreat for?
Yes! You’re welcome to bring a guest with you. Non-physician guests are invited to join us for the three private group dinners, with a reduced retreat fee of $415. They won't be able to participate in the full retreat programming (like workshops and group sessions), but they’ll have plenty to enjoy at the resort while you’re attending retreat activities.
can spouses or partners come too?
Your retreat fee covers access to our exclusive group activities, a welcome reception, and three private group dinners — all curated with intention to help you unwind and connect. Your hotel stay, spa treatments, and any other resort activities outside of the group schedule are separate and booked directly through the resort.

what all is included in the retreat fee?
Once your retreat registration and fee are complete, you’ll receive a private link to book your room at our special group rate. Room availability (especially at our group rate) is limited, so booking early is definitely encouraged!
How do i book my room?
We totally understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel more than 90 days before the retreat, you'll receive a full refund. Between 60–90 days out, a 50% refund is available. Unfortunately, within 60 days of the retreat start date, the retreat fee becomes non-refundable. (Heads up: the hotel’s cancellation policy for rooms is separate.)
what is the retreat fee cancellation policy?
No problem! You can reserve a double occupancy room even if you don’t have a roommate yet. You’ll have up until 30 days before arrival to add a roommate to your reservation. If you aren’t able to find one, Miraval will convert your booking to a single occupancy rate at that time. We're happy to help connect attendees who are looking for roommates, but we can’t guarantee a match.
what if i want a roommate but don't yet have one?
Yes! If you’d like to extend your stay before or after the retreat, our group rate is available for up to 2 nights before the retreat and 2 nights after the retreat, based on the resort’s availability.
We recommend booking early if you're considering extra time to relax.
